Vanquished.Vanguard

A speed paint I did, listening to The Silent Comedy's 'All Saint's Day'.

Took a good thirty minutes of boredom and insomnia.

An overall victory; the Vanguard suffered the worst casualties.
Expected, yes. Wanted? Occasionally.
Devastating.
Always.

Vanguards, to my knowledge. Are what most Vikings near the Rus territories fell into; highly skilled bodyguards of royals. Though it's also a position/regiment/whichever you choose, of an army; the spear point. 
Vanguards lead the charge and almost always suffer the most casualties. They're usually decked out to do the most damage, be it two handed swords and spears to SMG's and shotguns[in the more modern sense]
